A January, 2009, APC Mini-Conference

Another APC Mini-Conference is planned for January 2009 in Jacksonville, Florida.  To give a flavor of what can be expected, the following was the program and facts for the January 2008 Mini-Conference.  Again, it will be late in the month of January.

Enjoy Florida in January and experience featured presenters Dr. Donald Armentrout and Dr. Gordon "Tim" Huffman at a combined Academy of Parish Clergy and St. Matthew's Lutheran Church (ELCA) conference.  Topics are "Religion in the Contemporary South," the "Coming Global Church," and "What's Happening in the Mainline Church?"

Cost for the two-day event of Jan. 24 - 25, 2008, is only $35 which includes all lectures, two lunches, snacks and continental breakfasts.  A grant covers all other costs except housing.  Hotel housing is being arranged by Dr. David E. Imhoff, APC, and possibilities include staying on the ocean front.

Dr. Armentrout is of the University of the South, School of Theology (Sewanee).  Dr. Huffman is of Trinity Lutheran Seminary (Columbus, OH).  The program is open to clergy and laity.

The Academy of Parish Clergy, since 1968, is "For clergy, By Clergy and With Clergy" for intentional professional, personal and spiritual development as pastors and persons.  It publishes the quarterly journal, Sharing the Practice.
